Here is the service agreement that we use.

This agreement is made between stoOdio 760, located at 760 Kent Hill Road, East Calais, VT, 05650, and _____________________, for the purpose of providing professional recording, mixing, and rendering services. It is strongly recommended that the Mastering of final mixes be done out of house. If client wishes to have stoOdio 760 handle the process of contracting mastering services, a flat rate of $25.00 per song applies in addition to Mastering costs. Otherwise, client accepts that responsibility. By booking a session, the Client agrees to the terms outlined in this contract.

Services and Rates

• Studio Room with Engineer: $50 per hour. Includes the use of the recording space, equipment, and an engineer.
• Session musician (Studio Owner): $65 per hour, minimum charge of 1 hour per song. If the Client requests drumming/bass playing or piano/keyboard services by the Studio Owner, this fee applies in addition to the studio room rate.
• Post-Production, Mixing & Rendering : $50 per hour. When the studio session is done, post production work like editing, mixing and rendering of the rough or final recording for the Client’s project occurs. This additional time is responsibly tracked and added to your bill.
• Subcontracted Session Musicians: Available upon request. Fees vary depending on the musician.

Payment Terms

• Payment is due upon delivery of the final file or rendered audio tracks.
• Accepted payment methods: Cash, Check, Venmo, PayPal.
• The Client is responsible for ensuring payment is completed in full before receiving final audio files.

Session Expectations

• The Client agrees to communicate their expectations, needs, and vision clearly with the engineer.
• Session charges begin at the scheduled start time, regardless of the Client’s arrival time.
• Sessions end at the scheduled end time unless additional time is requested and approved by the Studio.
• A 24-hour notice is required for cancellations. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a cancellation fee of $50.00.

Use of Space and Equipment

• The Client may use available studio instruments and equipment during the session.
• The Client is financially responsible for any damages caused to the equipment, furnishings, or room due to misuse or negligence.
• The Client acknowledges that they use the studio at their own risk, and the Studio is not responsible for personal injury, lost or stolen property, or technical failures beyond reasonable control.

Creative Rights and Credits

• If the Studio Owner provides creative input that is co-creative (e.g., composing, arranging, producing), credit is requested.
• The Studio retains the right to request name credit where applicable.
• The Client retains full ownership of their recordings and projects unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

Liability Waiver

• The Studio is not responsible for any loss of data, project files, or audio due to technical malfunctions, power failures, or unforeseen circumstances. If Loss of content occurs for any reason, Client will not be charged for any recording time during which loss has occurred.
• The Studio assumes no liability for injury or accidents occurring on the premises.

Miscellaneous

• Any additional agreements or modifications to this contract must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
• This contract is governed by the laws of Vermont.
• By booking a session, the Client acknowledges and agrees to the terms outlined in this agreement.
